DESCRIPTION

Terex is a U.S.-centric specialty equipment manufacturer serving industrial, municipal, and infrastructure customers. Terex operates through three segments today — Environmental Solutions (ES), Materials Processing (MP), and Aerials — with a fourth Specialty Vehicles segment added via its February 2026 merger with REV Group. The ES segment manufactures refuse collection vehicles under the Heil brand, sold to municipalities and waste haulers, as well as compactors, balers, and a SaaS-based digital fleet management platform (3rd Eye). ES also includes bucket trucks and digger derricks sold to electric utilities under the Terex Utilities brand. The MP segment makes mobile and static crushing, screening, washing, and conveying equipment under the Powerscreen and Finlay brands, sold primarily to quarry operators and construction customers. The Aerials segment makes boom lifts, scissor lifts, and telehandlers under the Genie brand, distributed largely through national rental companies — Terex is actively pursuing a sale or spin-off of this segment to reduce cyclical exposure. The REV Group merger added emergency vehicles (fire trucks and ambulances) and recreational vehicles, contributing roughly $2.5B in pro forma annual revenue. Terex sells through direct sales, independent dealers, and national rental companies. The company is deliberately reshaping its portfolio toward noncyclical, municipal-driven revenue, expanding utility manufacturing capacity to capture grid upgrade demand, and extending the 3rd Eye digital platform across more product lines.
