DESCRIPTION

Ellomay Capital is an Israeli-listed renewable energy company that develops, builds, and operates clean energy assets across Europe, the U.S., and Israel. Ellomay's core business is generating and selling electricity from solar photovoltaic plants, which drive the substantial majority of revenue. Its largest asset is the Talasol Solar Plant, a 300 MW facility in Spain, which alone accounts for roughly 40-45% of total revenue. Beyond Talasol, Ellomay operates smaller solar plants in Spain, Italy, and Texas. Electricity is sold to national grid operators at spot market prices or under fixed-price arrangements, including PPAs and government-backed contracts for difference. Ellomay also owns three anaerobic digestion waste-to-energy plants in the Netherlands that convert organic waste into biogas, and holds a minority 16.875% stake in Dorad Energy, one of Israel's largest private gas-fired power plants, which Ellomay is in the process of selling. Ellomay finances most assets through non-recourse project-level debt and raises corporate debt via Israeli debenture issuances. Growth is focused on developing new solar capacity in Italy and the U.S., and on a 156 MW pumped hydro storage plant under construction in Israel. Ellomay has adopted a partial sell-down model, selling minority stakes in projects to partners like Clal Insurance to recycle capital while retaining operational control.
