Alpha Pro Tech makes disposable protective apparel and construction weatherization products, operating through two business segments. The Disposable Protective Apparel segment sells single-use garments — shoecovers, bouffant caps, coveralls, gowns, and lab coats — as well as face masks, face shields, and N-95 respirators. These products serve cleanrooms in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and medical device manufacturing, as well as hospitals, labs, dental offices, and industrial safety environments. N-95 respirators have historically seen demand spikes during infectious disease outbreaks. The Building Supply segment sells housewrap under the REX brand, housewrap accessories, and synthetic roof underlayment to construction and roofing distributors, targeting residential and multi-family new construction and re-roofing projects. Nearly all of Alpha Pro Tech's sales are in the U.S. Both segments benefit from repeat purchase dynamics, since protective garments and construction materials are single-use or project-specific. Alpha Pro Tech uses a hybrid manufacturing model: standard garments are produced through a joint venture in India and other contract manufacturers in Asia and Mexico, while owned facilities in Valdosta, Georgia and Nogales, Arizona handle Building Supply products and face masks directly. Products are sold through independent distributors rather than directly to end users.
