ESCO Technologies is a diversified industrial manufacturer of highly engineered components and systems, operating across three segments: Aerospace & Defense (A&D), Utility Solutions Group (USG), and RF Test & Measurement. In A&D, ESCO makes specialty filtration and fluid control components for commercial and military aircraft, as well as naval products including magnetic signature management systems, power control and conversion systems, and vibration/acoustic reduction systems for U.S. and UK Navy submarines and surface ships. ESCO sells these products directly to commercial OEMs, the U.S. military, and UK Royal Navy, or through prime contractors. In USG, ESCO sells diagnostic test instruments and condition monitoring systems to electric utilities through its Doble brand, helping utilities assess the health of high-voltage power equipment like transformers and switchgear. USG also sells wind and solar measurement tools through NRG Systems. In RF Test & Measurement, ESCO designs and manufactures RF shielded enclosures, anechoic chambers, and related systems used for EMC testing, wireless device certification, and medical imaging. ESCO's business model centers on long-term contracts and recurring order relationships across these three segments, with M&A as an additional growth lever. ESCO has focused its A&D segment on naval and aerospace end markets, most recently acquiring ESCO Maritime Solutions to expand its naval footprint while divesting VACCO Industries to exit space-related fluid systems.
