Enlightify (formerly China Green Agriculture) is primarily a fertilizer manufacturer operating in China. The company makes and sells fertilizers through two main subsidiaries: Jinong, which produces humic acid-based compound fertilizers across 70 product lines, and Gufeng and its subsidiary Tianjuyuan, which produce conventional compound, blended, organic, and slow-release fertilizers across 38 product lines. Combined annual production capacity is 555,000 metric tons. Fertilizers account for roughly 87% of revenue. The remaining ~13% comes from Yuxing, a subsidiary that grows and sells premium fruits, vegetables, flowers, and seedlings, and also serves as an R&D testing ground for new fertilizer formulations. Enlightify sells fertilizers through a network of ~639 regional distributors across 22 provinces, 4 autonomous regions, and 4 municipalities in China; distributors then sell downstream to wholesalers, retailers, and farmers. Profitability is driven by sold volumes, the spread between input costs and selling prices, and product mix — humic acid-based specialty products command higher prices than Gufeng's more commoditized compound fertilizers. Sales are seasonal, with the bulk occurring in winter and spring. In 2023, Enlightify launched a small Bitcoin mining operation in West Texas through its U.S. subsidiary Antaeus, using Bitmain hardware — a nascent diversification that is not yet a material revenue contributor.
