DESCRIPTION

ReposiTrak is a SaaS company that sells food supply chain compliance, traceability, and supply chain management software to U.S. grocery retailers, wholesalers, and their suppliers. ReposiTrak operates a hub-and-spoke model: retailers and wholesalers contract with ReposiTrak, then require their suppliers to join the platform, meaning each new hub pulls in hundreds to thousands of suppliers and generates a recurring pipeline of new subscriber revenue. Mid-tier suppliers are increasingly acting as hubs themselves, pulling their own upstream ingredient suppliers into the network. Revenue is almost entirely recurring subscription fees — hubs pay a platform subscription and each supplier in the network pays a separate subscription. The cost structure is largely fixed, giving incremental revenue high contribution margins. ReposiTrak's three solutions — Compliance Management, its ReposiTrak Traceability Network (RTN), and Supply Chain Solutions — all run on a single platform, which facilitates cross-selling since customers already using one solution have done the underlying data integration work. Traceability is the current growth driver, spurred by FDA Food Safety Modernization Act requirements and by major retailers including Kroger, Walmart, Target, and Albertsons imposing their own earlier and broader traceability deadlines. ReposiTrak has invested in an AI-assisted self-onboarding tool that allows suppliers to implement with minimal human support, enabling the company to serve smaller accounts while keeping headcount flat. ReposiTrak carries no bank debt and returns roughly half of operating cash to shareholders through buybacks, dividends, and preferred share redemptions.
