DESCRIPTION

Enservco is a small U.S. oilfield services company operating through its subsidiary Heat Waves Hot Oil Service. Enservco provides two core field services to onshore oil and gas producers: hot oiling and acidizing (Production Services), and frac water heating (Completion and Other Services). Hot oiling circulates heated fluid through producing wells to dissolve paraffin and restore flow; acidizing pumps acid into wells to clear blockages and improve permeability. Frac water heating involves deploying specialized equipment at well sites to heat the large volumes of water used during hydraulic fracturing in cold weather. Enservco charges producers on a per-job or hourly basis, with hot oiling billed in the range of $115–$185 per hour. The frac water heating business also uses term contracts with "standby rates," which provide revenue even when equipment is idle. Enservco operates across multiple U.S. basins, including the DJ Basin, Marcellus and Utica Shale, Powder River Basin, San Juan Basin, and Eagle Ford. The business is highly seasonal — roughly 70% of revenue is earned in Q1 and Q4, when cold weather drives demand. Enservco's top five customers account for about 60% of revenue, reflecting meaningful customer concentration. The company has reduced long-term debt significantly and is pursuing growth through M&A, including a 2023 acquisition in the Marcellus Shale, while also working to add year-round service lines to reduce seasonality.
