DESCRIPTION

Revvity is a life science tools and diagnostics company that sells instruments, reagents, software, and services to pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic researchers, as well as clinical labs and public health programs. The company operates two roughly equal segments. The Life Sciences segment sells reagents and consumables (antibodies, assay kits, and cell imaging tools under brands like BioLegend and Dharmacon), instruments (high-content screening systems, in vivo imaging platforms, and plate readers), and Signals enterprise software used by pharma scientists to manage and analyze preclinical R&D data. The Diagnostics segment focuses on reproductive health and newborn screening — where Revvity's instruments and reagents screen for Down syndrome, metabolic disorders, and rare genetic conditions — as well as immunodiagnostics for autoimmune disease, allergy, infectious disease, and TB testing through brands including EUROIMMUN and Oxford Immunotec. Revvity sells primarily through its own direct sales force across roughly 40 countries. Reagents and consumables are the most recurring and financially attractive revenue stream, with instruments being more cyclical and tied to pharma R&D budgets. Signals software is transitioning to SaaS, with about 35% of software revenue now subscription-based. Revvity is positioning Signals as an AI platform for drug discovery, recently launching Signals Synthetica, an AI models-as-a-service offering, and entering a collaboration with Eli Lilly's TUNE Lab to make Lilly's proprietary AI models available through the platform.
