DESCRIPTION

Textron is a multi-industry conglomerate with two core businesses: general aviation aircraft and military rotorcraft. The largest segment, Textron Aviation, manufactures and sells aircraft under the Cessna and Beechcraft brands, covering the full range of general aviation — from piston trainers (Cessna Skyhawk) to turboprops (Beechcraft King Air, Cessna Caravan) to business jets (Cessna Citation family). Textron Aviation sells to corporate operators, charter fleets, fractional ownership programs like NetJets, and governments. Beyond new aircraft sales, Textron Aviation generates recurring aftermarket revenue from parts, maintenance, and repair across its large installed fleet. The second major segment, Bell, supplies military and commercial helicopters and tiltrotor aircraft. Bell's most significant program is the MV-75, a next-generation tiltrotor being developed for the U.S. Army under the Future Long Range Assault Aircraft program — a sole-source contract won in 2022. Bell also supports legacy V-22 Osprey and H-1 programs and sells commercial helicopters for medical, law enforcement, and utility applications. The remaining segments include Textron Systems (unmanned aircraft, armored vehicles, and adversary air training) and Industrial (Kautex automotive fuel systems and specialty vehicles like E-Z-GO golf cars). The MV-75 program is the primary growth driver over the next decade, with production expected to ramp to 40-60 units annually at full rate. Textron Aviation's growth is driven by higher deliveries post-strike recovery, new product launches, and continued aftermarket expansion.
