DESCRIPTION

CoVolt Power is an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor that builds utility-scale solar power plants, battery energy storage systems, and high-voltage transmission and distribution infrastructure across the United States. The company operates through two primary lines: generation EPC and high-voltage infrastructure. In generation EPC, CoVolt acts as the prime contractor for large solar and storage installations, managing project lifecycles from front-end engineering and equipment procurement to mechanical installation, electrical work, and commissioning. Through its high-voltage business, CoVolt designs and builds substations, switchyards, and transmission lines for independent power producers, utilities, and data center operators. CoVolt operates primarily under a fixed-price, lump-sum model, engaging customers early through initial engineering agreements before setting final contract prices. To control costs and execution, CoVolt self-performs most electrical and mechanical installation with direct-hire labor, while customers generally supply solar modules and batteries. CoVolt's strategy focuses on expanding high-voltage services for data centers and utilities, increasing in-house civil construction capabilities, and pursuing acquisitions.
