Quantum eMotion (QeM) is an early-stage quantum cybersecurity company focused on generating true randomness using quantum mechanics, and making that randomness available to organizations to strengthen cryptographic security. The core problem QeM addresses is that conventional cryptography relies on pseudo-random number generators, which are deterministic and therefore theoretically predictable. QeM instead uses quantum tunneling to produce genuinely unpredictable random numbers. QeM has two commercially ready software products: Entropy-as-a-Service (EaaS), a cloud or on-premises service that delivers quantum entropy to customers via API for use in secure key generation and encryption; and a System Development Kit (SDK), a software library that lets developers integrate quantum-grade randomness into their own applications. QeM is also developing miniaturized QRNG hardware in partnership with ÉTS, as well as QRNG applications for blockchain and AI security. QeM's business model is still in its early stages — the company generated its first revenues only recently, in the form of royalties from two partners, Greybox and Krown, which sell products incorporating QeM's technology. Going forward, QeM intends to pursue both royalties from partners and direct recurring revenue through EaaS subscriptions. QeM is a small, R&D-driven company with 13 employees, and is pursuing FIPS 140-3 validation and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification to unlock government and regulated enterprise sales. QeM recently established a U.S. subsidiary in California to build a direct commercial presence in the U.S. market.
