Versamet is a precious metals royalty and streaming company. Rather than operating mines, Versamet provides upfront capital to mining companies in exchange for the right to receive a percentage of future metal production or revenue. Versamet holds two types of interests: streaming agreements, where Versamet pays an upfront sum and then purchases a fixed percentage of metal production at a deeply discounted ongoing price (typically 10–20% of spot), and royalties (NSR), where Versamet receives a percentage of mine revenue with no ongoing payment required. The portfolio spans over 25 assets across more than 10 countries, focused primarily on gold and silver, with selective copper and base metals exposure. Key producing assets include the Greenstone gold stream in Ontario, the Kiaka gold NSR in Burkina Faso, and the Rosh Pinah silver stream in Namibia. The flagship development asset is the Eskay Creek gold stream in British Columbia, Versamet's largest single investment, with first production expected in Q2 2027. Because Versamet bears no operating or capital costs at the mine level, its margins are structurally high. Versamet grows by deploying capital into new royalty and streaming acquisitions, funded through equity issuances, a $400M credit facility, and internal cash flow. Versamet has built its portfolio through a series of acquisitions from counterparties including Sandstorm, Equinox, B2Gold, and Appian, and listed on the TSX in December 2025 and Nasdaq in March 2026 to broaden its shareholder base and lower its cost of capital.
