DESCRIPTION

Camerry New Material Tech (operating through its PRC subsidiary, Fujian Jiayi Chemical Fiber) is a small Chinese manufacturer of nylon filament yarn, headquartered in Changle District, Fuzhou, Fujian Province — a region that accounts for roughly half of China's nylon filament production capacity. Camerry makes two broad categories of nylon yarn: common DTY (Draw Textured Yarn), a commodity stretch nylon used in everyday apparel like undergarments and sportswear; and functional/customized DTY, specialty yarn engineered with specific properties such as copper-infused antibacterial, far-infrared thermal, flame retardant, and graphene-composite variants. Camerry also produces POY (Pre-Oriented Yarn), the semi-finished base material from which DTY is made, and more recently sells lace and fabric by contracting third-party manufacturers to convert its yarn into finished textile goods. Customers are primarily Chinese downstream textile manufacturers who buy yarn as an input for clothing and home textiles. Camerry sells directly with no distributors or long-term purchase commitments. The company's strategy is to shift its mix away from low-margin commodity DTY — where it cannot compete on price against larger producers — and toward higher-margin functional DTY and lace/fabric. Raw materials (nylon 6 chips and POY) represent roughly 78-79% of cost of goods sold, making margins sensitive to oil prices. Camerry spends roughly 10% of revenue on R&D, developed through a partnership with Jiaxing University, to build out its functional product portfolio.
