DESCRIPTION

TalenTec is a value-added reseller and implementation consultant for Human Capital Management (HCM) software, operating primarily in Malaysia and Singapore through its Malaysian subsidiary. TalenTec does not build its own software — instead, it distributes HCM products from four vendors (Oracle PeopleSoft, Dayforce, Humanica's SunFish Workplaze HR, and Microimage's MiHCM Cloud) and wraps those products with consulting, implementation, training, and ongoing support services. Oracle PeopleSoft HCM and Financials is the dominant product line, accounting for roughly 71% of FY2025 revenue. TalenTec's customers are primarily mid-to-large enterprises (generally 300+ employees) across financial services, insurance, hospitality, transportation, education, and the public sector. Revenue comes from four streams: software licensing and SaaS subscriptions, project-based consulting and implementation, training, and recurring maintenance and support contracts. Implementation projects are labor-intensive, typically running six to eighteen months, and TalenTec's capacity is directly constrained by its roughly 30 operations staff. The maintenance and support business generates relatively predictable recurring revenue under one-to-three-year renewable agreements. A key strategic priority is migrating existing on-premises Oracle PeopleSoft clients to cloud-based models — TalenTec argues this is more efficient than acquiring new clients, given established relationships and long client tenure. TalenTec also plans to expand geographically into Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, and is exploring distribution of a new hospitality-focused SaaS HCM product.
