DESCRIPTION

Dot AI (CID Holdco) makes an asset tracking platform that gives businesses real-time visibility into the location and status of their assets, inventory, vehicles, and personnel. The platform combines passive RFID tags, active RFID, Bluetooth, AI-enabled edge cameras, and a long-range wireless mesh network with cloud-based software that processes tracking data and triggers alerts or automated actions. The software integrates with enterprise ERP, WMS, and MES systems, acting as a real-time data layer that feeds into these systems of record. Dot AI targets industries including warehousing, manufacturing, mining, construction, healthcare, airports, and the military. The company is early-stage and currently generates revenue from a small number of customers. Dot AI's primary revenue model is SaaS — customers subscribe to the Dot Cloud platform on a recurring basis — supplemented by hardware sales and professional services. Revenue scales with the number of customers, assets enrolled on the platform, and sites deployed. Dot AI manufactures selected hardware through its subsidiary, Dot Works, in Puerto Rico, and centers software development in Bangalore and Worcester. The company argues its passive RFID tags cost less than a tenth of competing active transponders, and its long-range radio network (up to 15 miles) reduces the infrastructure customers need to deploy, lowering total cost of ownership. Dot AI sells directly and is building a channel partner network of integrators and resellers. The company went public in June 2025 via a SPAC merger and has 68 full-time employees.
