DESCRIPTION

AgomAb Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing treatments for fibrotic diseases — conditions where abnormal wound-healing causes progressive organ scarring and failure. AgomAb's core scientific approach targets the TGFβ signaling pathway, a key driver of fibrosis. Prior attempts to inhibit TGFβ systemically caused serious cardiac toxicity, so AgomAb engineers compounds designed to concentrate in the target organ while being rapidly inactivated before entering systemic circulation. AgomAb has two clinical-stage small molecules and one preclinical antibody. The lead program, ontunisertib, is an oral ALK5 inhibitor for fibrostenosing Crohn's disease (FSCD), a severe complication of Crohn's disease in which intestinal scarring causes bowel narrowing. There are no approved drug treatments for FSCD. Ontunisertib completed a Phase 2a trial (STENOVA), meeting its primary safety endpoint with exploratory efficacy signals at the higher dose; a Phase 2b trial is planned for H2 2026. The second program, AGMB-447, is an inhaled ALK5 inhibitor for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a progressive lung disease where existing approved drugs only modestly slow progression. AGMB-447 is in Phase 1b in IPF patients, with a Phase 2 trial also planned for H2 2026. AgomAb generates no revenue and funds operations through equity capital, including a February 2026 Nasdaq IPO that raised $207.7M gross, and government grants. AgomAb retains worldwide rights to all programs and aims to build a fully integrated commercial company.
