DESCRIPTION

Endo is a U.S.-based specialty pharmaceutical company that develops and sells branded and generic drugs, primarily focused on urology, orthopedics, and sterile injectables for hospitals and clinics. Endo's most important product is XIAFLEX, an injectable biologic that treats Peyronie's disease and Dupuytren's contracture — conditions caused by abnormal collagen buildup — and is the only FDA-approved non-surgical treatment in both indications. XIAFLEX is sold under a buy-and-bill model, where physicians purchase and administer the drug and bill payers directly. XIAFLEX patents extend into the late 2030s, and Endo is pursuing additional indications (plantar fibromatosis, hammer toe, and others) that could extend exclusivity into the early 2040s. Beyond XIAFLEX, Endo sells a portfolio of roughly 40 sterile injectable product families to hospitals and clinics, and roughly 80 generic product families, deliberately focused on complex or difficult-to-manufacture generics that carry higher barriers to entry. Endo also operates a Canadian specialty pharma business through Paladin Pharma. Endo's strategy is to grow branded pharmaceuticals and sterile injectables, while treating generics and international as cash flow businesses. Roughly 70% of revenue comes from products made in Endo's own facilities. Endo emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April 2024 as Endo, Inc., having discharged opioid and surgical mesh liabilities into settlement trusts, and now trades on the OTCQX market under the ticker "NDOI."
