DESCRIPTION

Everfront Biotech is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company based in Taiwan developing drugs for brain cancer, pancreatic cancer, and neurodegenerative diseases. Everfront has no approved products and no revenue. Its lead asset is the Cerebraca Wafer, a biodegradable implant placed directly at the tumor site following surgical removal of a glioblastoma (GBM) tumor. The wafer releases its active drug locally over 30 days, bypassing the blood-brain barrier that limits systemic therapies. A Phase I/IIa trial in Taiwan is complete, and Everfront plans to use the bulk of its IPO proceeds to fund a Phase IIb/III trial in the U.S. The Cerebraca Wafer holds orphan drug designation for GBM. Beyond GBM, Everfront is developing the EF-009 Wafer, a similar implant for locally advanced pancreatic cancer with FDA IND clearance; EF-031, an oral capsule intended as a systemic complement to both wafer products; and HK-001, an oral capsule for ALS currently in Phase I. Everfront operates a semi-virtual model with 14 employees, outsourcing clinical execution and manufacturing to CROs and CMOs. The company's long-term commercialization strategy relies on licensing or co-development partnerships with larger pharma companies rather than building its own sales infrastructure. Everfront acknowledges it will need substantial additional capital beyond this IPO to reach approval for any product.
