Micropolis is an early-stage autonomous mobile robot (AMR) developer based in Dubai, UAE. The company designs and manufactures wheeled, electrically-powered robots targeted primarily at government security agencies and real estate developers in the UAE and broader GCC region. Micropolis builds robots on two platforms — the M01, an SUV-sized unit for open streets, and the M02, a golf cart-sized unit for gated communities — and mounts application-specific pods on top, including surveillance cameras, drone launchers, delivery compartments, and road-sweeping equipment. Key products include self-driving security patrol vehicles developed with Dubai Police, an autonomous last-mile delivery robot called Canari, remote inspection robots for Dubai Customs, and surveillance robots for the Saudi Ministry of Interior. Beyond hardware, Micropolis develops proprietary software including a Level 3 autonomous driving system, a fleet mission planner, and Microspot, an AI-powered security platform with facial recognition and license plate recognition. Rather than raising equity capital, Micropolis funds development by having customers co-fund tailored robot projects, in exchange for a share of future sales margins and/or partial IP ownership. The company is essentially pre-revenue, with commercial production targeted for mid-2025. Micropolis completed an IPO on NYSE American in March 2025, raising $15.5M in gross proceeds.
