XCharge makes DC fast chargers and battery-integrated EV charging systems, sold primarily to commercial operators in Europe and, increasingly, North America. XCharge's product line has two categories. The first is standard DC fast chargers (C6 and C7 series), which deliver up to 480 kW and are deployed at parking lots, fleet depots, and fueling stations. The second is battery-integrated DC fast chargers (NZS and GridLink), which combine a fast charger with an onboard lithium-ion battery pack and a proprietary Energy Management System. These units store cheap off-peak power and discharge it during peak demand, enabling fast charging at sites where the local grid is too weak to support a conventional charger — think older buildings, remote communities, and national parks. GridLink is specifically engineered for the North American grid. A bi-directional Battery-to-Grid function also lets operators sell stored energy back to the grid during peak hours. XCharge's customers are primarily charge point operators and utilities, with a growing base of EV fleet operators and EV manufacturers. XCharge sells direct through a sales force based in Europe and the Americas, and outsources manufacturing to contract manufacturers rather than owning factories. Revenue today is primarily hardware sales, but XCharge expects recurring service fees on its growing installed base to become a larger share of revenue over time. XCharge's growth strategy centers on using the battery-integrated products to access grid-constrained locations that conventional chargers cannot serve, expanding in the U.S., and growing recurring service revenue as the installed base scales.
