Ryde is a Singapore-based ride-hailing and parcel delivery platform that connects riders and senders with independent driver partners through a single mobile app. Ryde operates two segments: Mobility (ride-hailing and carpooling) and Quick Commerce (on-demand parcel delivery via RydeSEND). The Mobility segment is the core and founding business, offering service tiers ranging from carpooling (RydePOOL) to standard rides (RydeX), larger-capacity rides (RydeXL), luxury rides (RydeLUXE), taxi bookings (RydeTAXI), and a pet-friendly option. RydeSEND handles last-mile parcel delivery for individual consumers, e-commerce merchants, and food and beverage businesses. Ryde operates a marketplace model, taking a cut from each transaction. Revenue comes from per-trip fees, driver partner commissions, and subscriptions through Ryde+, a monthly or quarterly plan that gives users priority matching and cashback. The same driver partners and technology platform serve both segments, which lowers the marginal cost of running the two businesses in parallel. Ryde's cost base is driven primarily by performance-based incentive payments to driver partners, which are adjusted weekly. Ryde also offers a Business Profile product for corporate customers to track and consolidate ride expenses. Ryde went public on NYSE American in March 2024 and operates exclusively in Singapore.
