DESCRIPTION

RMX Industries is an early-stage software company that develops video compression technology for defense and government customers. Its core product, VAST (Video Adaptive Systems Technology), is a software-based video encoder that streams HD-quality video at bitrates as low as 10–50 Kbps over low-bandwidth tactical military radio networks — including networks previously considered unsuitable for video. VAST can run on low-cost hardware like a Raspberry Pi without requiring additional infrastructure. The product suite includes the core encoder, management and playback applications, and an SDK for system integrators and OEM partners to embed VAST into their own platforms. RMX's target business model is software licensing and PaaS recurring subscriptions, though the company is effectively pre-commercial, with FY2025 revenue of only $311K. RMX sells to defense and government customers through direct engagement with DoD program offices, partnerships with system integrators, and field validation programs. The company has secured an Authority to Operate on U.S. Army networks and a CRADA with USSOCOM. Beyond defense, RMX plans to commercialize a modified version of VAST, called CRISP, targeting telecoms, mining, and medical imaging — though these remain aspirational. RMX has financed operations almost entirely through equity issuances and debt, and its auditors have expressed substantial doubt about its ability to continue as a going concern.
