Enerflex designs, manufactures, deploys, and services natural gas compression, processing, and power generation infrastructure. Its customers are oil and gas producers, midstream companies, and non-oil-and-gas end users such as data centers. Enerflex operates through three product lines: Engineered Systems (ES), Energy Infrastructure (EI), and After-Market Services (AMS). ES is project-based fabrication of custom modular compression, processing, and power generation equipment, and is the largest revenue contributor but the most cyclical and lowest-margin segment. EI is a contracted-asset model where Enerflex builds or acquires compression and processing assets and leases or operates them under multi-year contracts, generating recurring cash flows without commodity price exposure. AMS generates recurring revenue from maintenance, parts, and operations contracts on Enerflex's global installed base. EI and AMS together generate a disproportionate share of gross margin, providing earnings stability through cycles while ES adds upside exposure to natural gas infrastructure investment cycles. Geographically, Enerflex operates primarily in North America, with meaningful and growing exposure to the Middle East, Latin America, Africa, and Asia Pacific through long-term BOOM (Build-Own-Operate-Maintain) contracts. Key near-term growth priorities include expanding its U.S. contract compression fleet in the Permian Basin, pursuing international EI contracts in the Middle East and Latin America, and capturing emerging modular power generation opportunities for data centers and microgrids.
