DESCRIPTION

Mobilicom makes hardware and software components that get embedded into small unmanned aerial vehicles (drones under 150 kg) and robotic systems. Mobilicom doesn't build drones or robots itself — it sells the "smart" components to drone and robotics OEMs, who embed them into their platforms. Customers include Israel Aerospace Industries, Airbus, Teledyne-FLIR, and Rafael Technologies, as well as the Israeli Ministry of Defense, with over 50 customers across 18 countries. On the hardware side, Mobilicom sells datalinks for drone communications, mesh networking units that enable swarm and fleet operations, and ruggedized handheld controllers. On the software side, Mobilicom offers OS3, a suite for operational security and fleet management, an automated cybersecurity suite called ICE, and CONTROLiT, a cloud-based fleet management tool. Mobilicom's business model centers on "design wins" — getting an OEM to adopt Mobilicom's components as a standard part of its platform. Once embedded, switching costs are high, and Mobilicom benefits from recurring orders as OEMs scale production. Hardware has historically driven most revenue, but Mobilicom is actively shifting toward software and SaaS to improve margins. Manufacturing is outsourced, with Mobilicom designing products in-house and using third-party manufacturers in Israel, Asia-Pacific, and the U.S. Growth priorities include securing more design wins, expanding in the U.S. and Europe, pursuing M&A to broaden its product suite, and building out its SaaS offerings.
