Polyrizon is a development-stage Israeli biotech with no approved products and no revenue. The company is building a pipeline of nasal spray products based on two proprietary hydrogel platforms. The first, called C&C (Capture & Contain), is a mucoadhesive hydrogel designed to form a physical barrier in the nasal cavity, blocking viruses and allergens from contacting nasal tissue. Because C&C works through a physical rather than chemical mechanism, Polyrizon expects these products to be regulated as Class II medical devices. The lead C&C product, NASARIX, targets allergic rhinitis and is pursuing FDA 510(k) clearance, with pivotal trials planned for 2026. A second C&C product, PL-16, targets influenza and requires the FDA's De Novo classification pathway, with pivotal trials not planned until 2028. The second platform, T&T (Trap & Target), is designed to improve nasal absorption of existing approved drugs — including corticosteroids, benzodiazepines, and naloxone — and would be regulated as drug-device combination products under the FDA's 505(b)(2) pathway. Phase I trials for the lead T&T candidate are not planned until late 2028. Polyrizon has no manufacturing capability and outsources to third-party contract manufacturers. The company funds operations entirely through capital raises and runs on a small team of four part-time senior managers.
