DESCRIPTION

Blaize develops AI computing hardware and software focused on running AI inference workloads at the edge and in data centers. Blaize's core product is the GSP (Graph Streaming Processor), a proprietary AI chip designed for compute-intensive workloads like computer vision and machine learning, built around a data streaming architecture aimed at delivering low power consumption and high performance. Blaize packages the GSP into PCIe compute cards and also sells third-party servers and small form factor systems that host its technology — third-party hardware currently makes up a meaningful share of revenue. On the software side, Blaize offers AI Studio, a no-code/low-code environment for building and deploying AI models, along with a software development kit for more technical users. Blaize makes money by selling hardware and software licenses, with revenue driven by unit volumes and the scale of software deployments. All manufacturing is outsourced — Samsung Foundry produces the chips and Plexus handles final assembly in Malaysia. The business is at an early, pre-scale stage with acute customer concentration: in 2025, two customers in China accounted for 88% of total revenue, and in 2024, two related-party customers in the U.S. and Japan drove 98% of revenue. This geographic concentration also creates regulatory risk given U.S. export controls on AI chip sales to China. Blaize employs roughly 254 people and has not yet demonstrated broad market traction.
