DESCRIPTION

Galaxy is a digital assets-focused financial services firm founded in 2018, with a growing HPC data center infrastructure business. Galaxy's digital assets business functions as a full-service institutional crypto bank, serving over 1,600 institutional counterparties — hedge funds, family offices, asset managers, and crypto-native firms. The core of this business is an OTC trading desk operating on a principal basis across spot, derivatives, lending, and structured products, complemented by investment banking advisory for crypto-sector companies. Galaxy also manages roughly $12.3B in assets across ETF products (often co-branded with traditional asset managers like State Street and Invesco), alternative funds, and blockchain infrastructure services including staking validator operations across Ethereum, Solana, and other networks, and institutional digital asset custody technology. Galaxy's own balance sheet holds significant digital assets and investments, and unrealized gains and losses flow through earnings, making consolidated results volatile with crypto prices. Galaxy's data center business is converting its legacy bitcoin mining site — the Helios campus in West Texas — into an HPC/AI data center campus, with 800 MW of approved power contracted entirely to CoreWeave under 15-year leases. Once fully delivered, Galaxy expects roughly $600M in average annual revenue from CoreWeave at approximately 90% EBITDA margins. Galaxy plans to scale Helios to over 1.6 GW and expand to a multi-campus platform targeting additional investment-grade tenants.
