DESCRIPTION

AirJoule Technologies is a pre-revenue, early-stage company commercializing a proprietary atmospheric water harvesting technology that extracts water vapor from ambient air and converts it into pure distilled water. The core technology uses metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) — highly porous crystalline materials — to selectively adsorb water vapor, paired with a pressure swing system that minimizes external energy input by using the heat generated during adsorption to assist desorption. The system can also run on low-grade waste heat from industrial sites or data centers. AirJoule offers two products: AirJoule Core, a two-chamber system producing up to 250 liters per day, and AirJoule Prime, a 16-chamber containerized system targeting over 2,000 liters per day. Both are trailer-mounted and modular. AirJoule targets four end markets: data centers, advanced manufacturing, military, and HVAC. The company plans to generate revenue through direct equipment sales, Water Purchase Agreements (WPAs, modeled after PPAs, where customers pay per gallon rather than buying equipment), and as a tier-1 component supplier to Carrier for HVAC applications. AirJoule manufactures through a 50/50 JV with GE Vernova, which operates a facility in Newark, Delaware covering the Americas, Africa, and Australia. Key partners include BASF as sole-source MOF supplier and Carrier as exclusive HVAC commercialization partner in the Americas. AirJoule is targeting its first commercial sales in late 2026.
