DESCRIPTION

Eco Wave Power is an early-stage wave energy company developing technology to convert ocean and sea waves into electricity. Its core product is a Wave Energy Converter (WEC) that uses floating devices ("floaters") attached to existing coastal structures — breakwaters, piers, and jetties — to capture wave motion. As waves rise and fall, the floaters press hydraulic pistons that pressurize onshore accumulators, which drive a hydromotor and generator to feed electricity into the grid. The key design distinction is that the energy conversion equipment sits onshore, while only the floaters are in the water. During storms, floaters automatically lift above the waterline to avoid damage. The system is modular and scalable from kilowatts to multi-megawatt installations. Eco Wave Power's customers are governments, port authorities, energy utilities, and corporate energy buyers. The company plans to generate revenue through three models: Build-Own-Operate (selling electricity under long-term power purchase agreements), Build-Own-Transfer (building and selling stations to institutional investors), and joint venture or turnkey arrangements where local partners handle land, licenses, and funding. Eco Wave Power is currently prioritizing turnkey and JV projects — as in Taiwan and India — because they generate faster cash flow with less capital burden. The company has active pilot projects in Israel, the U.S., Taiwan, and India, and a planned 1 MW commercial demonstration in Portugal, which management views as a critical milestone for proving wave energy at commercial scale. Eco Wave Power has not yet generated material revenue and remains in the development and pilot stage.
