DESCRIPTION

Full Truck Alliance (FTA) operates China's leading digital freight marketplace, connecting shippers with truckers for road freight shipments — primarily full truckload long-haul. FTA runs two main brands, Yunmanman and Huochebang, which merged in 2017 to form a nationwide network covering every prefecture-level city in China. The platform also includes Shengsheng for intra-city freight and Yunmanman Cold Chain for temperature-controlled logistics. FTA makes money through four streams: membership fees from shippers who post orders, freight brokerage where FTA contracts with shippers and subcontracts to truckers earning a spread, transaction commissions charged to truckers on orders completed through the platform, and value-added services including credit solutions, insurance, electronic toll collection, fuel discounts, and logistics software. The transaction commission business is the fastest-growing revenue stream and the core monetization driver. FTA's platform economics follow a two-sided network flywheel — more shippers attract more truckers and vice versa, improving matching speed and fulfillment rates. Key monetization levers are commission penetration rate and revenue per order. FTA's growth strategy focuses on improving ecosystem quality by growing direct SME shippers, expanding AI integration across the transaction workflow, and international expansion under the Qmove brand targeting emerging markets. FTA also holds a majority stake in Giga.AI, a heavy-duty autonomous truck technology company, which it views as a long-term opportunity tied to its core freight network.
