Zenvia is a Latin American cloud communications and customer experience (CX) software platform headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil. Zenvia helps businesses manage and automate interactions with end-consumers across digital channels — SMS, WhatsApp, voice, Instagram, and webchat. Zenvia operates two segments: CPaaS (Communications Platform as a Service) and SaaS. CPaaS is the larger, older segment where customers pay per message or interaction volume; it carries lower gross margins and is largely commoditized. The SaaS segment includes four solutions covering marketing campaign management, lead conversion, customer service ticketing, and customer retention management. SaaS carries roughly twice the gross margin of CPaaS and is Zenvia's stated growth engine. In October 2024, Zenvia launched Zenvia Customer Cloud, a unified platform integrating all four SaaS solutions with CPaaS channels into a single AI-powered, subscription-based CX suite. Zenvia sells to SMBs through a self-serve model and to larger enterprises through inside sales and account management, also distributing through digital agencies and system integrators. Zenvia's core growth strategy rests on cross-selling additional SaaS solutions to its existing CPaaS customer base — a "land and expand" approach — while growing SMB penetration in Brazil and expanding into Mexico and Argentina.
