DESCRIPTION

RetinalGenix is an early-stage ophthalmic R&D company with no products on the market and no revenue. The company is developing technologies for the early detection and treatment of eye diseases and related systemic conditions like Alzheimer's and diabetes. RetinalGenix's product pipeline has four components: at-home genetic test kits (through its DNA/GPS subsidiary) that map a patient's genetic profile against biomarkers for eye and systemic diseases; a portable retinal camera (RetinalCam) designed for home use that doesn't require pupil dilation and provides real-time physician alerts; a HIPAA-compliant patient database (RECAD AI) combining genetic and retinal imaging data to support clinical decision-making; and two early-stage drug candidates — RTG-2023 for dry AMD and RTG-2024 for Alzheimer's. The genetic test kit is the most near-term product, targeted for late 2026 launch, with RetinalCam commercialization targeted for 2027. The drug candidates are dependent on securing external partners or funding. RetinalGenix intends to sell genetic kits directly to consumers and through clinician channels, sell or license RetinalCam to healthcare providers, and partner with pharmaceutical companies to co-develop its drug programs rather than self-fund clinical trials. The company has no employees, relies entirely on third-party contractors, and has funded operations through private placements of common stock. Management has acknowledged going concern risk and estimates it needs approximately $7M more to reach key development milestones.
