DESCRIPTION

TransCode Therapeutics is a clinical-stage immuno-oncology and RNA therapeutics company focused on treating metastatic and high-risk advanced cancers. TransCode has no approved products and generates no revenue. Its lead asset is TTX-MC138, an antisense oligonucleotide that inhibits microRNA-10b, a regulator of metastatic cancer cell survival. Unlike most cancer therapies targeting primary tumors, TTX-MC138 is designed specifically to attack metastatic lesions. TTX-MC138 completed a Phase 1a dose-escalation trial across 16 patients, met its primary safety endpoint, and is advancing toward a Phase 2a trial in colorectal cancer patients with minimal residual disease, conducted through the PRE-I-SPY platform. TransCode's second clinical asset is seviprotimut-L, a melanoma antigen vaccine for adjuvant treatment of stage IIB/IIC melanoma acquired via the Polynoma acquisition; it holds FDA Fast Track designation and showed a 68% reduction in recurrence risk in patients under 60 in a Phase 3 subgroup analysis. Earlier-stage programs include siRNA and RIG-I agonist candidates, and an oncolytic adenovirus platform initially targeting muscle-invasive bladder cancer. Underpinning multiple programs is TransCode's TTX nanoparticle delivery platform, which uses small particle size (20-30 nanometers) to penetrate tumors and metastases — an area where standard lipid nanoparticle systems fall short. TransCode's business model is to advance its pipeline to clinical and regulatory milestones, then either commercialize independently or out-license to larger pharma partners. The company retains worldwide rights to its key candidates and is funded primarily through equity financing.
