Vinci Compass is a Latin American alternative asset manager formed in 2024 through the combination of Vinci Partners and Compass. The firm serves institutional investors, HNWIs, and intermediaries across Latin America, with R$354B in AUM as of end-2025. Vinci Compass operates two core functions: managing proprietary alternative investment funds across private equity, credit, real assets, and equities; and distributing both proprietary and third-party global fund products to Latin American institutional investors through its Global IP&S platform. Global IP&S, inherited from Compass, is the largest segment at roughly 77% of AUM, connecting pension funds, family offices, and other institutions across Chile, Mexico, Peru, and Colombia with top-tier global GPs. The firm earns management fees and performance fees on proprietary funds, placement and advisory fees through its distribution business, and gains on its own GP co-investments. About 39% of fee revenues are in USD, providing meaningful diversification away from BRL. Vinci Compass has grown through a mix of organic fund launches and acquisitions, including SPS Capital, Lacan (forestry), Verde Asset Management, and the Compass combination itself. Ares Management invested US$100M via convertible preferred shares in 2023, supporting M&A activity. The firm's growth thesis centers on the underpenetration of alternatives among Latin American pension systems, with 83 relationship managers across nine countries covering 3,000+ LPs.
