Tango Therapeutics is a clinical-stage precision oncology company developing targeted cancer therapies based on synthetic lethality — the idea that certain cancers carry specific genetic deletions that create exploitable vulnerabilities, allowing Tango's drugs to kill cancer cells while leaving normal cells largely unaffected. Tango's pipeline centers on cancers with homozygous deletion of the MTAP gene, one of the most common genetic alterations in cancer, occurring across at least 15 cancer types including roughly 40% of pancreatic cancers and 45% of glioblastoma.
