DESCRIPTION

FOXO Technologies is a small, early-stage healthcare services company built through acquisitions. FOXO operates two active businesses. The first is a rural healthcare business in Oneida, Tennessee, which includes Big South Fork Medical Center, a 25-bed critical access hospital with a 24/7 emergency department, and Myrtle Recovery Centers, which provides inpatient and outpatient substance use disorder treatment. The hospital's Critical Access Hospital designation allows it to receive cost-based Medicare reimbursement, which provides somewhat better economics than standard reimbursement for small rural hospitals. Revenue across the healthcare business is driven by patient volume and reimbursed primarily by Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers. The second business is Vector BioSource, acquired in September 2025, which sources and distributes human biological specimens — blood, urine, tissues, and living cells — to pharma, biotech, and clinical research customers. Vector acts as a supply chain intermediary between hospitals and clinical labs on one side and research customers who need biological materials for drug development on the other. FOXO also retains a legacy epigenetics business that developed saliva-based biomarker technology for life insurance underwriting, but this segment generates no meaningful revenue and FOXO is exploring a sale or partnership. FOXO's growth strategy is acquisition-driven, with plans to replicate the Myrtle SUD model at additional rural hospital campuses and expand Vector through bolt-on deals.
