DESCRIPTION

DoubleDown Interactive develops and operates digital casino-style games. Its flagship product, DoubleDown Casino, is a free-to-play social casino app where players can spin virtual slot machines and play poker, blackjack, and other casino games without wagering real money. DoubleDown Casino is distributed through Apple App Store, Google Play, Facebook, and Amazon. The app is free to download; players buy virtual chips with real money when their in-game balance runs low. Revenue scales with daily active users, payer conversion, and ARPDAU. A key input to the social casino model is slot content — DoubleDown licenses titles from IGT and parent company DoubleU Games, and has also developed proprietary slots internally, giving DoubleDown Casino a library of over 400 slot titles. DoubleDown has been shifting virtual chip sales from app stores (which take ~25% of gross receipts) to its own direct-to-consumer website, meaningfully improving margins. Through its SuprNation subsidiary (acquired in 2023), DoubleDown also operates real-money online casino platforms in the UK, Sweden, and Malta under brands including Duelz and Voodoo Dreams. DoubleDown also acquired WHOW Games in 2025, a social casino operator based in Germany whose flagship brand is MyJackpot, extending DoubleDown's social casino presence into Europe. The social casino segment generates the bulk of revenue and cash flow; iGaming is growing but currently reinvesting heavily in player acquisition. DoubleDown's growth strategy centers on DTC conversion, scaling the iGaming business, and M&A to expand into new geographies and gaming categories.
