DESCRIPTION

Yalla Group operates two flagship mobile apps — Yalla and Yalla Ludo — targeting Arabic-speaking users in the MENA region. Yalla is a voice-based group chat platform built around the Arab "majlis" tradition, where users join virtual rooms to talk, play casual games, and exchange virtual gifts. Yalla Ludo pairs popular regional board games (Ludo, Domino, Snakes & Ladders) with in-app voice chat and social features. Both apps are deeply localized around Arabic culture, Islamic holidays, and regional customs. Yalla makes money by selling virtual currencies that users spend on gifts, VIP memberships, and in-game advantages — all non-refundable and non-redeemable for cash. Because content is user-generated, Yalla pays no content acquisition costs, keeping margins high. Beyond the two flagship apps, Yalla operates a growing portfolio of secondary titles including 101 Okey Yalla (Turkish board game), Yalla Baloot (Saudi card game), and WeMuslim (Islamic lifestyle app). Yalla is also expanding into mid-core and hard-core gaming through its Yalla Game subsidiary, developing Match-3 and strategy titles for MENA and global markets, with initial launches planned for 2026. Yalla's growth strategy focuses on sustaining its core apps, scaling new gaming titles, and deepening its presence in Saudi Arabia through partnerships like the Saudi eLeague.
