Alset is a diversified holding company with operations across real estate, digital transformation technology, biohealth, and food & beverage, managed primarily through Alset International, an 85.8%-owned subsidiary listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange. Alset's historical core business has been residential lot development near Houston, Texas, where Alset buys raw land, develops it into residential subdivisions, and sells finished lots to homebuilders. That business has largely wound down following the completion of its main Lakes at Black Oak project. Alset also owns 132 single-family rental homes in Montgomery and Harris Counties, Texas, managed by third-party operators. Beyond real estate, Alset operates Hapi Metaverse, which builds B2B software platforms for e-commerce and digital transformation for businesses primarily in Asia, and runs Killiney Kopitiam café franchises and Hapi Café outlets in Singapore, South Korea, and China — the food & beverage segment now accounts for the largest share of revenue. Alset's biohealth segment, which sold dietary supplements in South Korea, was largely exited in 2025. The company also trades securities, provides corporate advisory services through BMI Capital Partners in Hong Kong, and holds minority stakes in several affiliated companies. Alset's growth strategy is acquisitive and opportunistic, pursuing control stakes across its target industries with an emphasis on leveraging access to Asian capital markets.
