DESCRIPTION

Amcor is the world's largest consumer packaging company, making flexible and rigid packaging sold primarily to consumer goods companies in food, beverage, healthcare, and personal care end markets. Amcor completed a transformational merger with Berry Global in April 2025, creating a combined company of roughly 77,000 employees across more than 400 facilities in over 40 countries. Amcor operates two segments: Global Flexible Packaging Solutions (~72% of revenue), which produces pouches, films, laminates, and wraps across food, healthcare, and personal care; and Global Rigid Packaging Solutions (~28% of revenue), which makes containers, bottles, closures, and dispensing systems primarily for beverage, healthcare, and personal care customers. Amcor's business model centers on converting raw materials — primarily polymer resins, aluminum, and fiber — into packaging, with profitability driven by volume leverage, value-based pricing, raw material pass-through, and procurement scale. The Berry merger significantly expanded Amcor's North American rigid packaging footprint and global procurement scale (~$13B annually), and management has identified $650M in total synergies through FY28. Amcor's organic growth strategy focuses on six priority end markets — healthcare, protein, premium coffee, pet care, dairy/liquids, and select personal care — which management views as higher-growth and more innovation-intensive. Amcor also plans to divest or restructure ~$2.5B in non-core revenues, including its North American beverage container business, to focus on higher-margin categories where its competitive position is stronger.
