DESCRIPTION

Repay Holdings is a payments technology company that processes electronic payments for businesses in financial services-focused vertical markets. Rather than operating as a general-purpose processor, Repay embeds its payment technology into the enterprise software its clients already use — loan management systems, dealer management systems, and ERP platforms — making Repay part of the client's core workflow. Repay focuses on non-discretionary bill payment use cases: consumers repaying loans, settling medical bills, or businesses paying vendors. Repay operates two segments: Consumer Payments (~85% of revenue), which processes loan repayments across personal loans, auto loans, receivables management, credit unions, and mortgage servicing; and Business Payments (~15% of revenue), which handles B2B accounts payable automation via virtual card and enhanced ACH through its TotalPay product. Repay earns transaction-based fees that scale with payment volume and mix — card transactions carry higher economics than ACH, and Repay also earns interchange income on virtual card transactions and float income on prefunded client balances. Repay sells through a direct sales force and a network of ~294 software integration partners. The cost structure is largely fixed, allowing volume growth to flow through to margins. Repay has grown partly through acquisitions (11 since 2016), but management has shifted focus to organic growth — deepening penetration in existing verticals, expanding enterprise accounts, and adding software partnerships.
