DESCRIPTION

Zepp Health makes and sells smartwatches and wearable fitness trackers under the Amazfit brand, sold in over 90 countries through e-commerce platforms (including Amazon and its own direct-to-consumer site) and offline retail. Zepp organizes its Amazfit portfolio into three tiers: a premium Adventure series (T-Rex, Falcon, Cheetah) targeting outdoor enthusiasts and endurance athletes; a mid-tier lifestyle series (Balance, GTR, GTS) competing against Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch in the mainstream segment; and an entry-level series (Bip, Active, Band) targeting first-time buyers. Beyond smartwatches, Zepp sells ecosystem products including the Helio Strap (a screen-free fitness tracker), the Amazfit Helio Ring (a smart ring for recovery and sleep), and Zepp Clarity AI-powered hearing aids. Revenue is almost entirely hardware-driven, with one-time device purchases. Zepp designs its own chipsets and biosensors in-house, which management argues provides product differentiation and cost advantages, while outsourcing manufacturing to contract manufacturers in China and Vietnam. Zepp's core strategy centers on "premiumization" — shifting product mix toward higher-margin premium SKUs — alongside building out its software platform (Zepp OS, Zepp Coach, Zepp Flow) to increase user engagement and retention. North America and Europe are the primary growth markets, and Zepp is investing in athlete sponsorships and partnerships with fitness events like HYROX to build brand credibility in the performance sports segment.
