DESCRIPTION

InflaRx is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing drugs that target the complement system, specifically the C5a protein and its C5aR1 receptor, which drive harmful inflammatory responses in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. InflaRx's lead asset is izicopan, an oral small-molecule C5aR1 inhibitor in development for hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), a chronic neutrophil-driven inflammatory skin disease, and chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU), a chronic itchy hive condition. Phase 2a data in both indications showed positive results, and InflaRx is advancing toward Phase 2b in HS. The company's second product, vilobelimab (GOHIBIC), is an IV monoclonal antibody that blocks C5a and holds FDA Emergency Use Authorization and EU marketing authorization for critically ill, mechanically ventilated COVID-19 patients. Commercial revenues from GOHIBIC have been negligible, and InflaRx has largely wound down its own commercial operations, pursuing partnerships to commercialize it instead. InflaRx generates no meaningful revenue and funds operations through cash raised from prior equity offerings. The company does not manufacture its own drugs, relying on contract manufacturers. InflaRx's path to value depends on advancing izicopan through later-stage trials and securing partners to share development costs and commercialize products, as InflaRx has acknowledged that running broad parallel clinical programs independently exceeds its financial capacity. InflaRx is also entitled to mid-single-digit royalties from Chinese partner Staidson, which licensed vilobelimab's cell line for use in China.
