DESCRIPTION

Solaris Energy Infrastructure is a Houston-based equipment and services company operating two businesses: Solaris Power Solutions, a rapidly growing behind-the-meter (BTM) power generation and distribution business, and Solaris Logistics Solutions, an established oilfield equipment business. Power Solutions accounts for roughly 70% of earnings and is the primary growth driver. Solaris installs and operates medium-sized gas turbines (5–38 MW) directly at customer sites — primarily AI data centers — allowing customers to bypass lengthy grid interconnection queues. Solaris sells power as a service under multi-year rental contracts, where customers pay the gas cost and Solaris earns a capacity fee, limiting Solaris's fuel price exposure. Contract terms have extended from roughly 6 months to 7–10+ years. Solaris is expanding its offering beyond generation to cover the full power stack — emissions controls, voltage distribution, and software monitoring — which it calls a "molecule to electron" solution, adding incremental revenue per site. Logistics Solutions designs and rents proprietary silo systems that manage sand delivery at oil and gas wellsites during hydraulic fracturing operations. The logistics business requires limited incremental capital and generates consistent free cash flow, which Solaris redeploys into Power Solutions growth. Solaris is actively expanding its Power Solutions fleet, with roughly 780 MW currently generating revenue and a pro forma fleet of ~2,200 MW expected upon full delivery, funded through convertible notes, JV-level project debt, and Logistics Solutions cash flow.
