DESCRIPTION

EquipmentShare rents construction equipment — excavators, boom lifts, telehandlers, scissor lifts, generators, and similar assets — to contractors and industrial firms across the U.S. The company serves customers through 352 full-service branches across 45 states, with concentration in the Gulf Coast, Southwest, Midwest, and Southeast. EquipmentShare's fleet totals ~252,000 units with an original equipment cost of $8.8B. A key feature of EquipmentShare's model is the OWN Program, in which third-party investors buy equipment and lease it back to EquipmentShare, which then operates it on its rental platform. OWN Program equipment represents ~56% of the total fleet, reducing EquipmentShare's balance sheet intensity while retaining control of pricing and customer relationships. EquipmentShare's core differentiator is its proprietary T3 platform, which embeds telematics into the rental fleet and gives customers real-time visibility into equipment location, usage, and health. T3 also enables access control, predictive maintenance, and utilization tracking. Beyond improving EquipmentShare's own fleet operations, T3 deepens customer relationships by positioning EquipmentShare as an integrated jobsite partner rather than a simple rental vendor. Beyond rental, EquipmentShare sells new and used equipment through dealership locations, offers parts and maintenance services, sells standalone T3 SaaS subscriptions to customers managing their own fleets, and operates 24 building materials retail stores.
