ZK International is a Chinese manufacturer of stainless steel and carbon steel pipes, fittings, and related products. The company operates primarily through its subsidiary Zhejiang Zhengkang, based in Wenzhou, China. ZK International's products serve water and gas transmission infrastructure, including urban water supply networks, residential plumbing, and gas distribution systems, with additional applications in food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and industrial settings. The company manufactures its own steel strip as a raw material input, then converts it into finished pipe and fitting products. Key product lines include carbon steel pipes for high-pressure applications like gas and fire suppression, stainless steel pipes for clean-transmission applications like drinking water, light gauge stainless steel pipe for household plumbing, and over 10,000 specifications of fittings and connectors. Fittings are the highest-margin part of the product line, and ZK International has been deliberately shifting its product mix in that direction. ZK International sells through a domestic network of 156 distributors covering 30 of China's 34 provinces, supplemented by direct sales representatives in major cities, and also exports to Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Revenue is primarily driven by volume and pricing, with margins sensitive to steel input costs. ZK International is also attempting to evolve from a pure product supplier into a solution provider offering piping system design, engineering advisory, and post-sales services, though this transition is ongoing. The core pipe and fittings business is the sole operating segment; several diversification attempts, including a DeFi platform and other ventures, have not generated meaningful revenue.
