Jupiter Neurosciences is a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company developing JOTROL, a proprietary oral formulation of resveratrol targeting neurological diseases. Resveratrol is a natural compound with a large academic literature, but standard formulations have poor bioavailability and cause severe GI side effects at therapeutic doses. Jupiter's JOTROL uses a patented micellar delivery technology developed with German partner Aquanova to improve bioavailability and eliminate GI side effects — which Jupiter argues makes therapeutic use of resveratrol viable for the first time. Jupiter's lead program is a Phase IIa trial for Parkinson's disease, with first patient dosing expected in Q2 2026 and results anticipated roughly 12 months later. Follow-on indications include Mild Cognitive Impairment, early Alzheimer's disease, and rare diseases including MPS Type I and MELAS syndrome. Jupiter has no approved drugs and no pharmaceutical revenue today. In parallel, Jupiter launched Nugevia in late 2025, a DTC wellness supplement brand using the same JOTROL platform, selling products targeting skin health, cognitive function, and mitochondrial health directly via its website — currently Jupiter's only revenue source. On the pharmaceutical side, Jupiter is pursuing out-licensing deals, particularly in Asia where resveratrol has cultural acceptance as a Traditional Chinese Medicine ingredient, while retaining the option to commercialize directly in rare disease indications given their small patient populations. Jupiter operates as a lean, five-person virtual organization, outsourcing R&D, manufacturing, clinical execution, and regulatory affairs entirely to external partners.
