Enliven Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing small molecule drugs for cancer and other diseases. Enliven's lead program is ELVN-001, a selective BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) targeting chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), a blood cancer driven by the BCR-ABL fusion gene. ELVN-001 is currently in Phase 1/1b trials, with a Phase 3 trial planned to start in the second half of 2026. Enliven argues ELVN-001 is differentiated by its selectivity — by avoiding the off-target kinase activity that causes side effects in competing TKIs, ELVN-001 may be dosed more aggressively to drive better efficacy. Enliven is positioning ELVN-001 not as a direct competitor to asciminib (Novartis's Scemblix), but as a complement — specifically targeting patients who fail asciminib due to resistance mutations, including the T315I mutation. Enliven has deprioritized its second program, ELVN-002 (a HER2 inhibitor), to focus resources on ELVN-001, and also has early-stage research in Graves' disease. Enliven has no approved products and funds operations through equity raises. If ELVN-001 is approved, it would be sold as a branded oral oncology drug to oncologists and hematologists. Enliven retains worldwide rights to all pipeline assets and may pursue licensing or co-commercialization partnerships to support a global Phase 3 trial and eventual commercial launch.
