Immunocore is a commercial-stage biotech built around its proprietary ImmTAX platform, which engineers high-affinity T cell receptor (TCR) molecules that can target proteins inside cells — not just on the cell surface — giving it access to a far broader range of disease targets than conventional antibody-based therapies. Its only approved product, KIMMTRAK (tebentafusp), is a bispecific TCR molecule that redirects T cells to kill tumor cells and is approved in 39 countries for HLA-A*02:01-positive adults with unresectable or metastatic uveal melanoma, a rare eye cancer for which it was the first-ever approved therapy. KIMMTRAK is administered weekly via IV infusion, and Immunocore sells it directly in the U.S. and through regional distribution partners in Europe and international markets. Revenue scales with patient volume, treatment duration, and geographic expansion. The platform is modular, with three sub-platforms targeting cancer (ImmTAC), viral disease (ImmTAV), and autoimmune disease (ImmTAAI). Immunocore has three ongoing Phase 3 trials — two evaluating KIMMTRAK in cutaneous and adjuvant uveal melanoma, and one evaluating brenetafusp (a PRAME-targeted candidate) in first-line cutaneous melanoma. Earlier-stage programs span HIV, hepatitis B, type 1 diabetes, and atopic dermatitis. Manufacturing is fully outsourced to contract manufacturers, and Immunocore funds its pipeline from its balance sheet.
