DESCRIPTION

Sativus Tech is an early-stage company developing indoor saffron cultivation technology, operating through its majority-owned (54%) subsidiary Saffron Tech. Saffron Tech has built a proprietary Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) platform — an automated, remotely managed indoor farming system — designed to grow saffron year-round, independent of climate or geography. Traditional saffron farming yields one harvest per year; Saffron Tech's system targets up to four harvests annually, aiming to improve supply consistency and lower production costs. The company has demonstrated four cultivation cycles per year at its indoor R&D center in Israel and has planted saffron in the Golan Heights in partnership with the Shamir Research Institute. Saffron Tech's intended business model is to grow and sell saffron and saffron extract to commercial buyers in the culinary, cosmetics, and nutraceutical sectors. The company is pre-revenue and pre-commercial, with its commercial-scale pilot site not yet launched. Saffron Tech has raised capital through Israeli crowdfunding platform Pipelbiz and through a strategic investment agreement with Dreamtech, a Korean tech manufacturer, which committed $1M upfront and an additional $1M contingent on successful saffron cultivation in Korea. The Dreamtech partnership also points to potential international expansion into Asia's beauty, wellness, and pharmaceutical markets.
